Visitors will discover 3 historic walled cities St.Malo, Dinan, and Mont St. Michel as the highlight of your day.

Tour officially starts from Saint-Malo train station (from Paris, private Mercedes V6 tour only) . Prior to the tour, use a high-speed train (TGV) from Paris-Montparnasse Station. Train tickets are not included as train prices every everyday. Option from Rennes on request with a hotel pick up. Regular tour starts from St.Malo train station. Pick up with a comfortable 8 seats minivan with a large trunk. Daytrippers use TGV n° 8081 Paris-Saint-Malo (arrival 9.59am) then a return Rennes-Paris TGV n° 8736 (departure Rennes 7.35pm, arrival 9.13pm) . Private and round trip on request with D-day US beaches and Loire Valley Castles accommodation included. Door-to-Door service with our very comfortable Mercedes V6 .

Arrival 09.54am (your train departs from Paris at 07.06am) at St.Malo train station, Marc is waiting for you at the top dock holding clearly a M&G sign “Your name”. His cell contact on voucher in case you need a call before your arrival or from your hotel pick up.

When on board, Marc makes live commentaries with a micro and transfer you to St.Malo walled town. He prepared a circle walking tour with convenient way for not missing the best there. Free option to drink and snacking (local food here is great, taste our local crepes and kouign amann with its caramelized taste)

This morning you discover a unique Saint-Malo fortified town originally built during the Hundred Years’ War to defend France against England. Its golden age (17th century) was before french Revolution when local privateers, pirates operating under the protection of the french king, were trading and stealing overseas (gold, spices, cocoa, cannons, horrible slaves trade, …). They made fortunes and built those granite tall houses still there today and protected by this mile-long ramparts you walk tour surrounded by the English Channel sea. Remember our regular tour is planning that order: a first stop is Saint-Malo walled town, then Mont St. Michel, then Dinan, last transfer to Rennes. Sometimes this order can be different, when some want continuing the tour with us to the Normandy D-day beaches (Omaha, Pointe du Hoc, Bayeux, US cemetery, free quote on rq)

Lunch is free, but rich choice for snacking local food, tasting oysters, mussels, galettes, drinking sparkling cider.

From St.Malo, Marc uses a secret itinerary, you avoid crowds and large bus routes. Mont St. Michel Bay shows great points of view and stops opportunities, which can even be a real farm or a local food market.

AFTERNOON

Guaranteed 2 – 3 hours time on site at Mont St.Michel. No-queue admission ticket is included. Our minivan stops on the shuttle bus stop, which only adds a little time to this free bus service to the Mount. Option to walk on the bridge access, stop at the barrage.

We leave and join our country way to Dinan, the jewel of Brittany, a small-hour drive from the Mont St Michel. It is a medieval town built on a hill along the river la Rance. Half-timbered houses, quaint cobbled streets, artisan workshops, a unique well-preserved village and port along the romantic river Rance.

At the end of the late afternoon, I drive you to Rennes train station or hotel.

Option: Overnight accommodation in Rennes with its charming hotels and restaurants, a short way from the train station.
